The Framed Feather is an Art materials retail as well as a Framing workshop in Boston, Bellville, Cape Town. It was established in 2004 and is managed by owner Ilse Nieman, a professional artist and an experienced picture-framer [Google: South African Artists].
Not only is The Framed Feather the haven for framing your treasured art pieces, but it is home to established and novice visual artists, students, designers, interior decorators, photographers, art galleries, teachers and many more. All flock to The Framed Feather for their framing and art supplies. And now we aim to have an art exhibition where we invite ANYONE to enter and take part. Last year 2016, was our first exhibition!
The Framed Feather specializes in custom made framing. Besides traditional framing, any three dimensional objects can be framed in box-frames – sealed or unsealed (with a door). Sport achievement medals, clothing, sport equipment, shells and fossils – we have seen it all!
A professional team has the experience and resources to provide the best possible advice. The framing possibilities are limitless. Restoration and cleaning of paintings is also an option. Temporary mount boards for art student and photographic exhibitions are popular.
